Best-worst Tradeoff method

چکیده

This study aims to develop a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) method, the Best-Worst Tradeoff which draws on underlying principles of two popular MADM methods (the Method (BWM) and Tradeoff). The traditional procedure, is based axiomatic foundation multi-attribute value theory, considers ranges attributes, but decision-makers/analysts find it hard check consistency paired comparisons when using this method. BWM, other hand, uses opposite references (best worst) in single optimization, not only frames elicitation process more structured way, helps consistency. However, BWM does explicitly attributes pairwise comparisons. method proposed “consider-the-opposite-strategy” accounts for range effect simultaneously. Specifically, decision-maker provide comparison vectors, then an optimization model designed determine optimal weights these vectors. After that, thresholds are constructed judgements.
